Saturdays & Sundays Please!

Wednesdays are my 3rd favorite days of the week – which probably makes me a minority with the majority of Friday lovers. Sure, Friday’s great – but by the time I’m done with a full day of work I for sure am not ready to go out and celebrate the weekend {I can usually be found with a glass of white wine, my makeshift fire (aka, candles in the fireplace, having an epic Shonda Land catch up sesh – no shame!}

But Wednesdays are kinda awesome and maybe one of the most promising days of the week. You’re halfway through the work week, getting in the groove of getting things done, and the weekend is officially in sight! Plus, I still have enough energy halfway through the week to not be a total hermit, so I’ll usually try to grab drinks with the gals or convince Jimmy to go out to dinner {usually one that ends up being accidently expensive – oops! Girlfriends man, they’re the worst ;)} Charmingly-Styled (4 of 34)Charmingly-Styled (17 of 34)Charmingly-Styled (5 of 34)But obviously, Saturdays and Sundays are actually the best. And while I still spend most of the weekends getting work done – I’ve been trying to reserve at least one day a week to not doing anything work related {which believe me, it’s really hard to cut myself off from that!} Saturdays are my newfound “reserved for awesome” days which include exploring around the city, drinking too many lattes and sleeping in without an alarm {is there any feeling better than that? I think not my friends!}

Once the weather gets nicer in snowy Chicago, I’m hoping to spend more time exploring new neighborhoods – or neighborhoods I don’t find myself going to that often. I’m still a newbie to Ukrainian Village. Pilson, most of the South Loop and a few more – so I’m making an epic neighborhood list together to force myself to leave Lincoln Park, even though it’s always my favorite neighborhood in the city 😉 If you have any suggestions – I’d love to hear them! I’ll try to share my city adventures here too! Charmingly-Styled (15 of 34)Charmingly-Styled (9 of 34) Charmingly-Styled (12 of 34) Charmingly-Styled (20 of 34) Charmingly-Styled (24 of 34) Charmingly-Styled (27 of 34)Anyways, happy Wednesday to you {and an early Saturday and Sunday while we’re at it!} I hope you have a productive, awesome, extra creative end to your week and savor the weekend 🙂

    I’m so with you on Wednesdays – it’s my favorite day of the week! My husband and I dubbed it “Pizza Wednesday” because we always go out or bring in pizza and celebrate being that much closer to the weekend. It’s the little things, right?
