Why hello 2016, we’re so happy to have you here!

I don’t know about you, but I’ve been in constant count down for the last few months to give myself a fresh start, and a new year is the perfect time to do that. One of the big things I’m hoping to get a fresh start on is my diet because lately it’s been real real bad – like, “how haven’t you had a heart attack yet?” bad. Let me explain….

Besides eating my weight in holiday cookies over the last few weeks {I can’t be the only one, right?}, I’ve been struggling to get my bootay in gear when it comes to cooking for myself. I’ve never considered myself a good cook – or even a cook in general for that matter – but I’ve always hoped that one day I’d get motivated enough to teach myself how to not totally suck in the cooking department. Needless to say, I’m hoping that day comes sometime during January of 2016!

Cooking takes time – which is something I don’t quite have a lot of when it comes to working full time, this little site ‘o mine and a bunch of fun {but sometimes exhausting} freelance projects. But this month I’m hoping to set a little more time aside for my kitchen and convince myself that popcorn and white wine doesn’t constitute dinner {and yes, that may or may not be about 65% of my average diet!}

So what’s a gal to do?
