YOU GUYS! When did it get so freaking cold?! Send help! And hot chocolate please!

It was just a few weeks ago that we were living in beautiful, fall chicago weather – and now it’s become an official winter wonderland {and spoiler alert, it’s freezing!} I knew on those beautiful fall days that I would regret not enjoying them to the fullest, but now that it’s so cold I wish I could be transported to 60 degree days and sunny weather. Fall, I miss you – please come back to me. I promise never to take you for granted ever again!But the silver lining to freezing cold weather? Getting to wear comfy, fuzzy, oversized clothes without shame! I’ve been gravitating towards everything warm in my closet, whether it’s oversized jackets {this Barbour one has been on heavy rotation!}, cozy hats, wool socks or waterproof boots.  Oh, and some days I wear them all together together for the ultimate comfort game plan. Winter almost won’t be able to mess with me – except for maybe the snow, and ice, and wind too. Eeeek! My favorite hat for this season definitely has to be my new Lincoln Park beanie from Tuck Shop Co, and I’ve been wearing it day after day after day. Tuck Shop has hat designs centered around different neighborhoods around the world, from Canada to London to our very own Chicago!Since the first time I visited Chicago by myself about 4 years ago, I’d always had a thing for Lincoln Park. I used to stay with friends who lived in the neighborhood whenever I came to visit, and as soon as I started to know the area I completely fell in love. When I finally decided to take the plunge and move to Chicago, there was no place I’d rather be. 3 years later I’m still madly in love with the neighborhood, no matter the weather and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I always wear my heart on my sleeve, but now I can wear my neighborhood love all winter long too 🙂  How beautiful are these Barbour details? I love how they put so much TLC into all the little details that make a coat so amazing. Sign me up for one of each color please! Even though it’s freezing outside, at least I’ll be able to stay warm, right? Here’s to you {and my fellow Chicagoans!} staying warm all winter long. I strongly suggest spiked apple cider if all else fails 😉 xx
