Upgrading my Workout Routine (And Pain Relief!)

This post is sponsored by CBDMEDIC but the content and opinions expressed here are my own.      One of my New Year’s resolutions was to get into healthier habits, and to be honest – it’s been a slow (and ever evolving) process trying to get to a healthy routine. But recently, either brilliantly or delusionally, I bought a stationary bike at the beginning of the summer to get my booty into shape again. I’d been feeling deep pangs of guilt for not working out regularly since my job tends to be pretty demanding, so I thought if I had a bike in my apartment staring my down every day I’d inevitably ride it – or at least guilt myself into doing it on the regular.

And while I don’t go every day (aspirational I thought I would!) I have been making it more of a priority to spend a few days a week getting on my bike, taking a few classes, and feeling like I’m doing something good for myself – even though sometimes it’s hard to put yourself first. And while I haven’t become the #1 biker in the world (I don’t think that will ever happen!), it has been good to get back into a groove and at least take a few minutes to give myself some TLC – even on days when I don’t totally want to push myself 😉

But with more working out, I’ve been finding that my body has been adjusting in weird ways – and I’ve been more sore and tired than I have been in the past. While I try to have good posture, and let the stress of the day melt away while working out (with varied results!), my muscles have been struggling and I’ve been super sore after working out. My shoulders and forearms have been super sore after a workout, and since I work out at night, I usually don’t feel it until I wake up the next morning. So before I head out the door to work, I’ve been using CBDMEDIC’s Active Sport™ Pain Relief’s topical medication to quickly give myself a natural, alternative option for pain relief.
I’ve been a fan of CBD products for a while now and have really liked my experience, so finding a topical medication that actually worked has been a lifesaver as I’m getting more active these days. CBDMEDIC products are full of effective, natural ingredients (like menthol and camphor for an immediate cooling effect) and CBD rich hemp extract (while being THC-free, but rich with the hemp extract that makes it an impactful and natural alternative for pain relief). It’s also THC-free, so it’s not going to give you any psychoactive effects whatsoever – just quick pain relief! I love that it soothes my sore muscles and makes an immediate impact to last me through my morning. If I’m really sore, I’ll usually reapply mid-day or before I go to bed if needed.

I’ve been using CBDMEDIC’s Active Sport™ Pain Relief’s at least once a week, or whenever I’ve been feeling pain post workout. I picked it up at CVS down the street, which is super convenient since it’s where I usually go to pick up my prescriptions and pain care anyway. You can find CBDMEDIC at your local CVS using their store locator, or online on their website!
Have you used topical CBD products yet? I’d love to know your experience and what products you’ve used that have helped your pain and stress melt away!
