Jeans, Top, Sunglasses, and Jean Jacket from Gordmans!
It seems like as you get older, your life seems to fall into more of a routine. While I feel like I’m constantly racing through the day, the core parts are always the same: wake up, get to work, run around like a maniac from meeting to meeting (while emailing the entire time…I’ve become the queen of multi-tasking), finishing up work, heading home, eating dinner (either out, something someone else has cooked, or popcorn if it’s up to me), and going to bed. Rinse, repeat, and continue Monday – Friday every single week.
While I can’t complain about anything specifically that happens during the day – there are two things I look forward to more than other parts of the day – the first being my morning cup of coffee. It literally is the only thing some days that gets me out of bed – the thought that in just a few minutes I’ll have a grande latte or a matcha waiting for me at the other end of the counter at whatever coffee shop I decide to go to that day. The second thing I look forward in my routine is getting dressed in the morning – and being able to change up my look on a regular basis. I know that there’s all this research that wearing the same thing every day makes you more productive or doesn’t give you decision fatigue, but honestly – life is boring if you can’t change your look daily! I’m constantly changing my “favorite” pieces – one day it’s my leather jacket, the next a pair of mules, and on other day a new skirt is the greatest thing I have in my closet – it just depends on my mood that day.
And while it’s nice having the freedom to wear and express yourself through clothes, it honestly racks up quite the credit card bill – aye! I’ve been trying to be more cost conscious these days, but definitely don’t want to sacrifice style in the process. That’s where Gordmans comes in!
You’ve definitely heard me talk about Gordmans before, and I’m admittedly a huge fan. They’re an off-price retailer, which means they sell the excess clothing items and décor of other department stores at a fraction of the price. This means that you’re able to buy brand names you love for a steal, and makes every trip to Gordmans an adventure because you don’t know exactly what you’ll find every time you visit. I always find something amazing, either with designer, name brand fashion, or home decor! Plus, they always have the friendliest associates to help find anything you’re looking for and figure out the missing piece an outfit or finalizing a room in your home.
On my last visit, I bought this cute lace tank that’s perfect for spring – either on its own, or paired with a jacket. I’d also been needing a jean jacket for forever, and I found this awesome one that fits perfectly (a little cropped and snugger than other jean jackets I’ve had in the past) for only $25 at Gormdans too! I also snagged these skinny jeans and sunglasses a few visits back and they’ve quickly become staples in my closet too. I also picked up a few goodies for my living room – and I’m excited to share them in my IG stories soon!Best of all, Gordmans is opening 38 new stores, especially in the Midwest, which means there’s likely a Gordmans opening up by you soon! You can find your nearest store right here – so hopefully you’ll have a new store in your neighborhood.
I’m SO thankful the weather has finally started to get nice again so I can wear this cute lace top and jean jacket without freezing my booty off in Chicago! This week is supposed to be almost 50 degrees every day, and I couldn’t be more excited to not freeze on my way to work every morning. Hopefully wherever you live there’s some warm weather in your future too!
A big thanks to my friends at Gordmans for sponsoring this post! As always, all opinions are my own and I’m happy to share brands that I truly love. Thanks for supporting the brands that make Charmingly Styled possible! xx
