Good morning, friends! I know we just started 2019, but I can’t believe how quickly January flew by. I’m over here feeling like the year hasn’t even started yet (and yes, I still can’t remember to write “2019” either…), but we’re already into the second month of the year – and my 30th birthday is right around the corner, aye!
Honestly, I’ve been feeling so behind this year. I wanted to start 2019 with an open mind and a closet worthy of Marie Kondo’s approval – but my day job was so crazy the whole month of January that I’m pretty sure I spent more hours at the office at work than I did anywhere else. And when life feels a little out of control, anything that makes life a little easier is good in my book – be it grocery delivery, taking taxi’s home on late nights at the office, or signing up for subscription services to make life much more convenient. I don’t know about you – but I’m the worst when it comes to restocking toiletries and basic essentials, especially razors. I use one every day, but whenever I need a replacement I’m constantly out of extra blades (and usually at the most annoying times, like right before a wedding or another big event). I’ve been using Gillette Venus Razors ever since I was in high school (they’re the best razors for women, in my experience!) and I love their disposable razors. I recently signed up for Gillette Venus Direct’s subscription service to have Venus razor blades delivered to my door every month and it’s been super convenient – I’ve yet to run out of razor blades the past few months – hallelujah!
You can easily upgrade your shaving routine with a simple shave plan that’s designed by you – so you can pick out your blade type, custom handle and extra features. Plus, you can mix and match because every Venus handle fits each of the blade refill options. It’s convenient (free and speedy delivery!) and you can pick how often you want it delivered based on how often you shave. So for me, I signed up to get a box every other month since each box comes with 4 razors that last me awhile. And boxes start as little as $10 a month, so you’re definitely not going to break the bank, and it ensures you won’t be stuck razor-less when you need one most. It’s basically a shave club for women, but super affordable and convenient – plus, you can cancel anytime no questions asked.
The other part of Gillette Venus Direct’s subscription service is that I get to try out new-to-me Venus Razor products, like their razor handles and blades. I’m usually pretty traditional when it comes to ordering razors, but in my last box I got the White Tea razors that come with moisture bars built in with built-in body butter, and have a nice light white tea scent that smells amazing. I’m totally hooked 😉 Now I’m just trying to figure out what other subscription services I can sign up for to make life easier! Maybe I’ll go crazy and actually get groceries delivered, sign up for a smoothie subscription service (mmmm….), and order all my usual essentials on a monthly cadence. If they’re all this easy, then I’m totally sold.
Do you have any life hacks to make life a little smoother when it feels overwhelming? I’m hoping work slows down pretty soon, but any tips to automate my life are much appreciated to make 2019 a little less crazy! And if you haven’t already, I would totally recommend Venus Direct’s subscription plan to personalize and make it your own. You’ll never have to run out of razors again, and you’ll smell like white tea if you’re into that kinda thing too 😉
