Oh heyyyyy, Valentine’s Day…how are you almost here? Between surviving working on a brand in the Super Bowl (more on that later…), my 30th birthday being just around the corner (HOW?), and life being a little hectic, Valentine’s Day has been pushed to the wayside a bit. And while I’m all about celebrating love, I love love, there’s something nice about also giving yourself a little something something to celebrate too.
So whether you’re celebrating Valentine’s Day with a partner, Galentine’s Day with your best friends, or treating yourself because you 100% deserve it (I’ll probably fall into that camp!), give yourself a little love to celebrate accordingly. I rounded up a few of my favorite things that are on my list for the month of love. And who knows, maybe I’ll even splurge for myself too!
1. Gucci Soho Disco Purse: I mean, no one would be mad to get this – especially for Valentine’s Day. I love all things red, and it goes perfectly as a pop of color for a LBD, or with a casual outfit with jeans and t-shirt (my usual uniform!)
2. Monica Vinader Riva Ring: One of my favorite brands for jewelry – I even tuned my mom onto Monica Vinader and she bought a new wedding ring from them recently! Love the classic look of this ring, and the fact the shape is perfectly imperfect.
3. Yves Saint Laurent Lipstick: The perfect shade AND it’s the most beautiful looking lipstick packaging in the world (according to me at least ;))
4. Dyson Hairdryer: Okay, I know what you’re thinking – how can a Dyson hairdryer be romantic?! But let me tell you, this is the best hairdryer, and while it’s not cheap, it’s one of those everyday tools you use everyday which makes it worth the splurge. I tested it out at a party with Dyson and The Everygirl a few months ago and fell in love with how it made my hair look afterwords. Pure magic.
5. Capri Blue Signature Candle: I’m guilty of owning far too many candles, but this one in red is perfect for Valentine’s Day. One more candle isn’t too much, right?
6. Slip Beauty Sleep Mask: Nothing says love like getting 8+ hours of sleep. At least, sleep is my love language 🙂
7. Hankey Pankey Bralette: This is just too cute, and perfect for Valentine’s Day or any other day of the year. Lacy, dainty and not too aggressive in the cleavage department.
8. Monica Vinader Siren Mini Nugget Earrings: These earrings are gorgeous, and the pink is perfect for Valentine’s Day too!
9. Jo Malone Perfume: Whenever I want to indulge in a perfume, I usually go for a Jo Malone scent from Nordstrom, and I love their English Pear & Freesia for a more girly and fruity option, and their Wood Sage and Sea Salt for a more unisex scent.
10. Adornia XO Drop Back Earrings: X’s and O’s make these earrings super cute. Even though they’re very Valentine’s Day-esque, they’re understated enough to be something you can wear everyday.
11. Diptyque Roses Damascena Candle: One of my favorite candle companies, these babies last a long time! And I usually use them afterwards to put my makeup brushes in, or to hold change on my mantel. Plus, I love this Valentine’s Day pink packaging a scent!
12. Kate Spade Heart Pendant Necklace: The perfect piece for a girl (or yourself) who likes dainty, understated pieces. The heart is a cute touch without being too much!
13. Commes Des Garcons Converse: I’m definitely a tennis shoes and jeans kinda gal – and I love the cute heart details on these!
14. Maggie Louise Chocolates: These chocolates are so adorable, and make the perfect gift for a girlfriend who loves cute chocolates 🙂
Okay, that’s a lot of pink things for one day, but I couldn’t help myself – Valentine’s Day gets me in the pink and sparkly mood! Hope you guys are slightly more organized about Valentine’s Day than I am and have some fun plans in your future in the coming week!
