My New Years Eve Look

Jumpsuit (runs true to size! I’m wearing a 2) // Heels // Necklace

Now that we’re all recovering from our holiday coma (too. many. cookies), it’s already time to start planning for New Years – eeek! I love New Years and everything that goes with it – bottles of champagne, an excuse to eat fancy food (especially seafood), getting dressed up, and celebrating with friends.

I usually spend New Year’s in downtown Chicago, but this year I’m looking forward to spending it back home in Madison for a more low-key celebration. We’re planning to go to dinner with friends, and ring in the new year at a local concert venue that’s doing a countdown with live music. We did something similar last year and had a blast, so hoping this year is just as good – and I’m able to keep myself awake past midnight. Getting hold is hard, guys… I usually opt for a fancy, typical NYE dress (always black, usually sparkly, and paired with gold accessories), but this year I’ve decided to jump on the jumpsuit bandwagon, and I picked up this pretty velvet number from Ann Taylor earlier this month. I’m honestly so thankful that jumpsuits are trendy these days (hallelujah!), because any excuse to wear something that’s as comfortable as PJs – especially on NYE – is a good idea in my book.

This outfit covers so many bases for me: comfy, velvet for the holidays, and tied with a cute satin bow – basically making me the personification of fashionable gift wrap. I’m excited to wear something with pants to stay warm during the brutal cold, and I’m hoping it’s not too tough to go to the bathroom after multiple glasses of champagne. Regardless, 100% worth it  🙂   Any fun plans for New Years Eve? Hoping whatever you do – whether it’s staying in or going out – involves tasty food, champagne, and ringing in the new year with those you love. And if I don’t see you before – HAPPY NEW YEAR! I’m excited for everything that 2019 has in store for us  🙂 xx

We are having a low key NYE this year too! Just dinner with some friends. I almost got this same jumpsuit for NYE but didn’t, now I’m so mad!! You look darling and let’s hang out in Jan! I miss you! 🙂
