CS Gift Guide: For the Homebody

Calling all fans of being cozy – this gift guide is for you! But also, it’s really for me – because I’m definitely a self-proclaimed homebody, especially in the winter.

There’s nothing more magical than experiencing JOMO (joy of missing out) and staying in on a Friday night with a candle, bottle of wine and a pair of sweatpants and slippers. I used to feel kinda guilty about it, but I revel in any excuse to stay home and be cozy when it’s freezing in the Midwest.

This gift guide is full of my favorite cozy things – from my go-to slippers, eye patches for a spa night in, and PJs I basically live in on the weekend. Here are my favorite gifts for the homebody (myself included!). So without further ado, here are a few of my favorite things:

1. Cozy Faux-Fur Stole: I found this cute color blocked stole from Oprah’s favorite things (she has to be right, since she’s Oprah and all) and it’s the perfect cozy piece for winter. I’m planning to buy one for a friend (and myself too…) and pair it with my otherwise not very exciting grey winter jacket.

2. Hot Pink Beanie: This beanie is super cute, and made by Cuyana, one of my favorite companies that’s all for fewer, better products. This chunky knit beanie is such a fun pop of color, and you’ll never get lost in a Midwest snowstorm as long as you’re wearing it 😉

3.  Plants from The Sill: Because being a plant lady is officially cool again! I love the Sill and how they’ve made it easy to ship plants from online straight to your door – and it’s the perfect way to send a plant to the resident plant lady in your life (or to yourself, let’s be honest!)

4. Maui Brooklyn Candle: I love these candles because they’re produced by a small team using eco-friendly ingredients and recyclable glass. They make the dreamiest home fragrances inspired by nature and travel, and the Maui one smells like you’re right on the beach in Hawaii. It’s perfect for the friend who likes to stay cozy, but also makes a great hostess gift too!

5. J.Crew Camp Socks: My all-time favorite cozy socks for winter. I once saw a graph that showed how one’s happiness receiving socks grows exponentially with age, and I couldn’t agree more. Anyone who’s reading this and looking to buy me a Christmas gift this year – please buy me these socks 🙂

6. Classic Slippers: I bought these from J. Crew a few years back, and they’ve stood the test of time! I usually buy a paid for my parents every other year and we match in our holiday slippers every year when we’re together.

7. Silk Eye Mask: Kinda bougie, but totally worth getting a good night sleep for! This silk Slip mask is perfect for holiday travel (especially since I’ll be traveling internationally over the holidays this year), and it’s super cute too.

8. Leopard Gloves: I had these on my Christmas list last year, and my aunt was kind enough to buy them for me. I’ve worn them on repeat since I had them gifted to me, and I love that they add a pop of leopard to an otherwise boring winter outfit.

9. Super Soft PJs: Eberjey is known for making cozy PJs, and I discovered them when a wine company I worked with a few years ago bought them for me in my gift bag. I honestly love them and call them my “sleeping tuxedo” – and sleep with them almost every night. Plus, you’ll usually find me around the house wearing them on a weekend where I barely want to leave my house.

10. Makeup Bag Set: Another gift from Cuyana, these nesting makeup bags are one of my favorite things. They’re perfect for traveling, or keeping all your makeup and skincare products in one place. I love that you get two sizes, so you can pick your favorite depending on how much makeup and skincare products you can squeeze into one bag 🙂

11. Striped Cozy Sweater: All I want to wear all winter is a cozy sweater and stretchy jeans, and this sweater is both cozy and stylish (and is under $100 too!)

12. Boy Smells Candles: My new favorite candle brand, I love their cedar candle (and really, any scent I’ve tried has been “my new favorite candle” after lighting it). I picked mine up at FoxTrot market (and you can save $5 on your next 3 deliveries when you use code CSTYLED!)

13. Juice Beauty Eye Masks: Because self-care Sunday (and everyday) is totally a thing when you want to stay home. I feel like I’m especially tired during the holidays between work, get togethers and frantically shopping for last minute gifts, so these Juice Beauty eye patches are a lifesaver – and work wonders too.

14. Cozy Boots: When you have to go outside (to get the mail or take out the trash, let’s be real…) these sherpa lined boots are super cozy and fashionable too! (I almost said “fashionable to boot” but restrained myself…kinda…)
