My Time Saving Trick for Rushed Mornings

This post is sponsored by Jewel-Osco, and all thoughts and opinions are my own
Most days, things over here aren’t quite as glamorous as I make them out to be on Instagram. I wake up bright and early at 6:30 (and let’s be real, I usually snooze 3-4 times until I have to get up), rush around my apartment to get ready for work, and run out the door in a flash to get to an early meeting for work in time. I love trying new beauty products but with a packed schedule, I usually stick to my tried-and-true products in the morning.

So when Jewel-Osco recently launched their MashUp Beauty Box, I knew I had to give it a try. It’s a box carefully curated by Jewel-Osco (and soon to be available in select stores in the beauty aisle) with minis of their favorite products in their beauty aisle. While there were a few products that I’d tried before, my MashUp Beauty Box also came with a few new ones I hadn’t heard of before that are soon to be staples in my morning routine from here on out.As much as I’ve tried to enjoy a little “me” time in the mornings Monday – Friday, waking up early for me is hard—especially after a long night of emails and blogging after work. Even on those mornings that I’m rushing around like a maniac, I always make sure to put on makeup because even on days when I don’t feel my best, I try to fake it with a little concealer and a lot of mascara 😉

When you’re starved for time, it can definitely be hard to try out anything new with your rushed morning routine. So, the MashUp Beauty Box was the perfect way to mix things up. It came with a slew of products–from favorites like Dove and Dr. Bronner’s to new, all-natural brands like Hello toothpaste—all of which made getting ready a little more enjoyable. While I liked all the products, I was especially excited to try out Maybelline’s Master Precise All-Day Liquid Eyeliner (it actually lasted all day, and I usually have a very long day at work!) and the Infallible Pro-Matte gloss. The liquid liner has an ultra-thin brush tip that glides effortlessly for precise application. I love them so much that I’m planning to use my $2 off coupon to buy full-size products at Jewel-Osco (and now I keep the minis in my workbag for an easy refresh before going out with friends after work!)Do you typically buy beauty boxes to try out new products? I’ve honestly never done it before, so I now understand the appeal (and convenience) of getting to try out a few new products without the commitment of buying full-sized products. And after the first box, I’m already looking forward to the next! Be sure to find your MashUp Beauty Box at your local Jewel-Osco!
